DIMA approves grant for MWSC


With the grace of Allah, the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMA) has approved MWSC’s application for the Community Settlement Service Scheme for the fifth year. A meeting was held between the Grant Consultant from DIMA and the MWSC Management Committee members. The work performance of our CSS welfare officer, Sr. Maimunah Mosli was praised. An expression of appreciation towards the Committee for the management and support given to our welfare officer, by the Consultant. May Allah help us reach out to more sisters in need. Ameen.

Wednesday Program


Every Wednesday from 9.30 to 12.30 p.m at the Drama Theatre, Australian Islamic College, Kewdale Campus.  All sisters welcome.  All programs begin with 1-1.5 hours of Quran reading Unless otherwise notified

Outreach program

 

Alhamdullilah, we managed to organise a new outreach program at Boogularri.  This will take effect from June 2002.  There will be an added service for the community.

1.  The Musaadah Food program:  This includes distribution of food to needy families.  An assessment will be done for families needing that service.

2.  Volunteer Work Program:  The Muslim Women Support Centre of WA is currently working very closely with the Australian Islamic College to help Muslim migrants with employment.  This program aimed at providing the migrant with an on the Job training experience having difficulty looking for a Job?  Need and was asked to have a job experience before getting a full-time employment?

New Membership System

 Please note that our membership system has changed.  All renewals of membership shall be due on the 1st July each year.  For this year when you are due to renew your membership or join as a new member, It shall only cover you until 30th June 2003.Alhamdullilah our services and membership are constantly growing and we look forward to welcoming new members.  If you would like to be a member or wish to change your membership details.  Please contact us here
